How We Started
The Para Project is a non-profit organization focused on shared space and experiences. A shared space is more than just a physical location; it's a vibrant environment fostering connection and growth. Shared experiences develop wisdom and life-long memories. The idea is that through shared space and experiences, a community emerges.
The Para Project operates in two areas. Bookings are the community's opportunity to host their events in an exclusive, stylish, yet welcoming space. The Refresh Bar is open weekdays to the public and offers beverages, free co-working space and pastries.

The name "The Para Project" describes the mission simply. "Para" comes from the Greek word "paraclete" which means "to come alongside". The word "Project" is described as the way we will "figure it out together".

We officially opened our doors on July 1, 2024.
​
​The Co-founders are Darla Skiles, Ben Balk, Shauna Balk, and Mike Hentges.
